My debut as special guest artist went wonderfully at the Castle China’s ‘Walt Disney Classics Collection Simba Spring Premiere Event’ back in April in Warwick, England. It was like a dream being surrounded by the huge array of WDCC sculptures they sell and I got to meet the Buyer of mine who put in the word for me in the first place. The customers had a ball with huge prize giveaways and through snapping up my still-life drawings of the Walt Disney Classics Collection sculptures gave me their seal of approval, which of course is more than I could wish for. Now, don’t be too late, there are only a few 9 ½” x 13” giclée versions of the still-life I was asked to draw of the Lion King sculpture ‘Simba – You Are My Son’ left over at DouglasRickard.com and the douglasrickard eBay store.
