As our words come to pass, having been created in God’s image, then how much more so do God’s words come to pass. I’ve débuted the third in my set of dog art with a wolf theme called ‘Doberman on Wolf Mountain’ which could be described as a Dobie’s fantasy. But the awesome thing is, a world in which animals will have their natures changed from being fierce and dangerous is foretold in the Bible (Isaiah 11:6-8, Isaiah 65:17-25, Romans 8:18-23). God said it, and it’s going to come to pass. This next age is called the Millennium and the Bible says it will last a thousand years. Now don’t think that I’m coming up with some ‘new’ teaching. I, for one, was taught about this back in a Church of England children’s Sunday school. But perhaps it was all a bit ‘way off in the future’ for me back then. But what’s mind-boggling to me is, that this next age could literally only be a few years away.

“If you don’t make the effort to get your words in line with your desires, it’s not going to come to pass supernaturally.”

That’s what Gloria Copeland said at the Monday morning session of the 2009 West Coast Believers’ Convention. And I’ve been working on some Christian art all about this. So much negative talk comes out of people’s mouth though. It’s almost like ‘death’ is ingrained into the world’s way of talking. But you can get out of this cycle! Gloria said this:

“It’s just up to us, and I tell you I know. I mean, I remember how hard it was to say ‘our debts are paid’ when people are threatening to sue us because they haven’t gotten any money that they deserved and that we owed them.
You know, then this darkness just sets in on you and you just want to give up! And you want to say ‘it’s not working’. But it did work because we understood that our words are what come to pass in our lives. And what comes out of my mouth, is what I believe in my heart.
And what I want to do, and what I have to do, if I want to get supernatural results; I have to take what God says about prosperity, what God says about healing. I have to put it in my eyes, in my ears and let it get down in my heart. That’s the way things go to your heart. And let it live there and abide there; the Word of God abide there.”

Here’s the début of the second in my series of pet dogs with wolves, ‘The Boxer Dog and the Wolf’. This time, it’s a Boxer dog enjoying all things wild and wolf like. Maybe when you take your dog to the park, they think they’re on the peak of some wolf mountain when they start playing with other dogs. Or perhaps this is the scene they’re dreaming during all that twitching when they’re asleep in front of your fire of an evening! I haven’t finished my third in the set yet, so why not keep an eye on my twitter tweets over the next few days for my Doberman and Wolf art!

Most of my drawings are available in four versions and I’m introducing special areas with detailed product photographs (below) of ‘featured’ art print versions. This will give my Buyers a better experience as there’s nothing quite like a photograph of what you’ll get delivered to your home, all ready to frame!

Last month at the Walt Disney Classics Collection ‘Mickey’s Christmas Carol Spirit of the Season’ Fall Premiere Event at Castle China in Warwick, the apparent tradition of giving away prizes, was upheld yet again. It was like almost everyone won something. Unfortunately my ticket didn’t win, but they hosted an auction as well, of WDCC and other collectible items (below). I guess then, if you really wanted something, you could just bid for it!
Do you know what, it really was just as nice to have given away a Hand Embellished version of my ‘Story Lines – Sleeping Beauty Characters 1’ giclée art prints as one of the prizes. Part of the ‘spirit of the season’ you could say! And here’s a snap below of Darren and Amy from Solihul (below), who won it!

I like to create drawings that are… different. But I always remember my Buyers are the ones for whom I’m creating the art. So when embarking on some drawings of wolves, which I understand to be a popular subject, I couldn’t just reproduce my own take on the pack of wolf sketches, all very good, that you can see any time in eBay search results for example. I’m adding pet dogs to my wolf art!
A couple Thursdays ago I debuted this fantasy drawing (below) of a Beagle puppy taking a nap with… well, could it be a country cousin?! It actually evokes Isaiah 65:25, to me, so I call it ‘The Sleeping Beagle and the Wolf shall Dwell‘. And this Thursday. I’ll be premiering two more wolves and pet dogs artwork; with a Boxer and Doberman Pinscher having a howling good time!

I’ve been working on a drawing around the power of our words. What’s amazing though, is if you’ll listen closely, you’ll hear how much ‘death’ people really do talk. On this week’s ‘Believer’s Voice of Victory’ broadcast, Gloria Copeland taught:

“[Jesus] said ‘believe those things which you say will come to pass’ [Mark 11:23]. So you have to come to where, you believe ‘my words have power’.
I’m telling you now, what I believe… I believe that when I speak unbelief, I open the door to the devil… I believe that when I speak ‘I don’t have it’, ‘we’re not going to make it’, ‘I’m never going to get my healing’; I believe that I’m saying to all the demons in Hell, ‘I’m not believing. I’m open. My faith shield is down’… So I’m not going to say that… Well, what if they’ve just said ‘you’re terminal’? Well, I’ll just say ‘I’m healed’. I’ll just say ‘By His stripes I was healed [1 Peter 2:24]. If I was healed, I am healed.’”

The secluded waterway entrance to the elusive Thunderbird Lodge on Lake Tahoe and one of the seven beaches of Caneel Bay, part of the Virgin Islands are my two landscapes debuting today! And they’re both in the shape of hearts!

One of my objectives is to keep visitors longer at my website, DouglasRickard.com. Sometimes I liken my online gallery to a physical building with different wings of gallery rooms displaying the art; kind of in the ‘manor house with all the mod cons’ style of the London, Abercrombie and Fitch flagship store.
I’ve ensured that it’s easy to return to the central plazas or hubs of the main Dog Art, Landscape Art, Still-Lifes of WDCC Sculptures Art, Christian Art, Judaica and Historic Heroes Art galleries wherever you are. However, I don’t know if you ever stumbled upon this, but there are a few passageways leading to hidden surprises too. (That’s WebPages that aren’t on the navigation bar). And I’m pushing open some secret panels to more of those right now. I’ll let you in on them here, next week!

Earlier this month I made a return visit to Castle China, Warwick, here in England. They hosted the Walt Disney Classics Collection ‘Mickey’s Christmas Carol Spirit of the Season’ Fall Premiere Event. And the Event Sculpture was the Numbered Limited Edition of 2000, Jiminy Cricket which at 10 inches was larger than I had expected (shown below). There’s nothing like going to an event like this and seeing the sculptures in the ‘porcelain’.
I was able to talk about my Still-Lifes of Walt Disney Classics Collection sculptures art, one on one with the Guests. And I did enjoy getting to see again many of my own Buyers and everyone else who had made me so welcome at the Spring Event in April.
What I will say is that everyone seemed to be in the ‘spirit of the season’ already, as the team at Castle China couldn’t seem to wrap up those WDCC green teal boxes fast enough!
