From the farthest darkness… Snow White Castle

From the farthest darkness of ebony oil pastel looms thunder clouds, but in this drawing they simply frame the outline of Snow White’s face. Even if you didn’t immediately recognize the Prince’s faraway castle from Walt Disney’s “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” the subtle signs in the sky are sure to lead you to the fairest of princesses.

But hold, that’s not all, clouds of rose red diamond and royal blue could reveal her iconic sleeves too. This looming royal residence in the clouds is actually just my drawing of the three and a quarter inch, Walt Disney Classics Collection “Enchanted Places” ornament.

Snow White week Day 5: A Castle Embellished with ‘Gold’

Here’s a detail of ‘gold’ oil pastel layered upon one of my Numbered Limited Edition of 37, “Castle of Snow White” Hand Embellished versions. You probably know that Walt Disney’s “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” was released in 1937, of course!

When one of my Buyers orders this 13” x 9.5” version of my still-life drawing of the Walt Disney Classics Collection “Enchanted Places” ornament, “Snow White Castle,” they can actually request special touches. Whereas all of the Hand Embellished versions turn out uniquely different, I can subtly add someone’s initials or focus the layering on top of the giclée print on specific areas, after communicating with my Buyer.

Snow White week Day 1: Know this Secret…

Clouds of red and royal blue reveal the sleeves of a princess and even the snow clouds cannot hide her ebony hair. “Castle of Snow White,” my still-life of a WDCC sculpture, débuts Thursday August 30th.
