Get a Dopey grin in 2014

I hope this new year gives you plenty of happy… or should I say, Dopey grins.

My drawing of a 2002 Walt Disney Classics Collection piece, which was sculpted by Chris Peterson, is available in four giclée fine art print versions.

The daring journey of my Jiminy Cricket drawing

Have you ever travelled past those villains through that wood-carved, candy-coated dark ride, “Les Voyages de Pinocchio” otherwise known as “Pinocchio’s Daring Journey?”

Despite almost being swallowed by Monstro the whale, I still think the most awe-inspiring portion is rolling past the myriad of moving clocks and creations in Gepetto’s workshop, before our wooden cars take us back to… well, almost the real world.

So is it any wonder that Jiminy Cricket’s face would have the same kind of wide-eyed smile when he first climbed into the story, that first night in “Pinocchio!” And that was the moment chosen to create in porcelain by way of the Walt Disney Collectors Society 2003 Membership Gift sculpture, which I’ve drawn in mixed media. My wish for you is that when you bring home one of my art prints of “Charcoal and Oil – Jiminy Cricket,” it will remind you of all the happy, awe-inspiring moments from your daring journey!
